Health Tip: During exercise, children should drink three to four ounces of water, diluted juice, or sports drink every fifteen minutes. For adolescents, that amount increases to four to eight ounces every fifteen minutes. Finally, after exercise, both children and adolescents should ingest two cups of water for every pound of weight loss.
